Failures, Horror, and the Absurd
As you may have already assumed, BP’s latest pathetic attempt to stem the oil volcano has COMPLETELY FAILED. At the very least I can say it appears that they haven’t made it WORSE as some have suggested they would.
So what now? It looks like this hell-hole will be spewing poison until September. Are there any other options, or should we get ready to stare-down the apocalypse?
Oil trade journals are now floating the idea of detonating a nuclear weapon over the opening of the Macondo well. This will apparently crush and seal the opening.
The US Navy may be taking over the site in the coming days. And Mabus, the Secretary of the Navy, apparently wants to sink a battleship over the opening and then dump 80,000 tons of concrete and heavy metals over the wreckage.
These crazy ideas will probably gain a lot of traction considering the entire Gulf and North Western Atlantic is at stake. They also have no other options.
The final (again, pathetic) plug attempt last-night included BP shooting GOLF-BALLS into the well. I’m beginning to wonder if this is some kind of sick joke? First they say they’re going to put a “top-hat” on it, which was widely considered unrealistic, then they said “junk-shot,” shooting trash at it. Unreal.
Meanwhile, the president was on vacation in Chicago GOLFING.
And the Secretary of “Homeland Security” was at the opera.
And we’re supposed to twiddle our thumbs through FOUR more months of this? This is the biggest environmental catastrophe in human history. Ladies and gentlemen, this is unprecedented horror.
